Jason Heyward has been called a lot of exciting things... First round draft pick... Minor League Player of the Year... Number 1 prospect... Atlanta Braves starter... And his new nickname, Hey-Maker.

The Hey-Maker is explosive... Powerful... On the field, Jason is extraordinary. Bobby Cox says he "makes the Braves a better team." Off the field, Jason is committed to building a better community and has embraced his new role as L.E.A.D.'s Honorary Ambassador.

Your purchase of the exclusive Hey-Maker 22 t-shirt is your chance to become a part of the official Jason Heyward Fan Club. It's also an opportunity to support the program he cares deeply about. Proceeds from the shirt will benefit L.E.A.D. and support meaningful baseball skill development and exposure for inner city baseball players.

L.E.A.D. (Launch, Expose, Advise, Direct) is the country's first instructional play program for inner city youth. It was founded in 2007 by Jason's personal hitting coach and former professional player C.J. Stewart and his wife Kelli. L.E.A.D. provides access to the instruction and exposure necessary to help inner city youth compete for college baseball scholarships while also using the sport to promote service and civic engagement. Under the motto of Service To The Game & World, L.E.A.D. is developing a new player, one who understands that his contributions in his community are just as important as his contributions on the diamond. To date, 75% of L.E.A.D.'s Ambassador student-athletes have received college baseball scholarship opportunities and 100% have gone to college. Join Jason Heyward and be a champion for inner city baseball!

We'll see you at Turner Field in your Hey-Maker 22 t-shirt!

A note from Jason
Through skill development training, community service and exposure to all aspects of baseball, L.E.A.D. trains great baseball players and awesome young men. The lessons I've learned from C.J. over the years have been a huge part of me getting where I am today. I'm proud to support what he's doing with L.E.A.D. and its use of baseball as an important tool that helps young athletes see their future and achieve their goals.
